Pirates from Grammar Island

Do you want to go back in time to history and say “Arrg”or to meet pirates? If you do, come and read this amazing article about it. It is all about Y5C’s assembly that performed a play called “Pirates from Grammar Island”. It was on the April 14th 2010.

The show was all about three pirates that wanted to find parts of speech and at the end they didn’t. They learned lots of grammar through their adventures like Punctuation, Grammar Pirate Curse and lots of other things. The main characters were hilarious and acted well.

When we practiced, everyone sang quickly. We contributed as a group to sing properly. Our costumes and props looked like ragged clothes because some of us were wearing pirate stuff. Our props were swords and guns for some of us.

I think I appreciated our performance and I had lots of entertainment. I thought everyone did a brilliant job and some of us want to do the show again. Nick Corben who was our director did a fantastic job.
