 Tuesday 6th of October

After we had morning break, we had our temperatures checked which I really hated because it takes a long time.

With the morning to start off with we had Korean it was normally one of my favourite subjects and I did enjoy it! In Korean we needed to memorize four questions. Then were given homework, after that we practiced saying some countries in Korean, right after we were given more homework to do but it was easy.

Next we had library, first we had to sit down on the carpet because Mrs.Hamn was going to show us a link on destiny homepage it was called maps101. Mrs.Hamn showed us some maps and games on maps101, then we went to get our books, I got a book `Zac Power`. Then I went to the computers and played some games on maps101 it was really fun.

After that we went to our classroom and we were going to have a spelling test but first we needed to come up with some new table names my table was called the `champions`. Then we started doing our spelling test we all had the same spellings and had fifty words but it was quite easy.

Today was Max’s birthday and his mum came over to bring some cupcakes they were delicious, next we went out to play, I played football with my friends, it was fun even though we only had ten minutes of play. After break time we went inside to eat our snack.

Next we had music one of my favourite subjects, in music we needed to come up with a song and change the notes or melody. In my group was me, Blake, Michael and Bora. At the end of music we all performed, it was pretty easy.

Then we had lunch so we headed to the cafeteria to eat, after that we went to the playground to play I played tag and football with my friends.

After lunch break we got our literacy books and our homework trip of a lifetime. In literacy we counted how many connectives we used in our homework. Then we wrote a summary of a trip in our literacy books, it was easy.

Next we had science and we needed to get our white science book, one of the things we needed to do was to write the sunrise time and sunset time in our white books, for all the months. Another thing we did was to draw a graph chart using the sunrise or sunset time.

Then we all went home on our car or bus.

October 7th

Today was an awesome day!

We started off the day with a maths lesson, it included turning improper fractions into mixed numbers and getting fractions that were equivalent into there lowest terms. Mr Corben said that if we knew our times tables we could easily crack it and he was right! So it made the lesson seem extremely easy to me!

Our next lesson was art, well…. not really for me I had to use the whole! Art lesson time to do 2 tests, 1 on spelling and the other on Maths (I had missed them when I went on holiday to Australia.) I whizzed through them and before I knew it was  break time!

At break time I played Soccer with all my friends and I have to say the game was pretty tight! The bell went and we went in for snack I got the privilege of being able to show Mr Gray my Tea book with some other students.

Snack had finished and we started looking at today’s homework it was all online! That took up the whole period between snack and lunch!

In the last part of the day we had Social Studies, which is usually taken by Ms Scott, but she was in Australia so we got a sub teacher who taught the lesson. We learnt about the Greek Olympian gods and Goddess’ and wrote facts about them.

At the end of the day everyone departed school by car or bus, all worn out.

Oct 7, 2009

I got to school by 8 oclock this morning.  After, I said goodbye to my sister, Eli, who is in year 3, I played soccer with Tawan, Blake, Fuad, and Michael.  After the bell rang, we lined up to get our temperature checked.  It felt weird because my ear felt wet.  Everyone was OK so all of us entered the classroom.

My first class was math.

First, we wrote the title in our math book and wrote two targets.

Then, Mr. Corben told us to sit on the carpet and made us solve fraction problems on the whiteboard.

My second class was art.  We drew pineapples with pens on paper.  I really liked my pineapple drawing.

Then I had my playtime.  As this morning, I played soccer with my friends.  As always I scored a goal.  It was fun to play soccer in such a nice weather.

I had Korean meal for lunch. It was rice, fried noodle, soup and kimchi.

It was delicious.

After lunch we learned about ancient Greece in Social Studies.  We drew pictures of Greek warriors fighting against Persians.  It reminded me of watching a movie called 300.  They must have been very brave to fight against such a large empire.  We also studied mythological gods such as Zeus, Poseidon, Apollo, Aphrodite, Hades.  I wish I were one of those gods.  We had a secret agent in the classroom to keep us from playing in the classroom while Mr. Corben was gone.  Although most of us are still trying to figure out that agent, our table knows who that is.  After our social studies class, Mr. Corben gave us tons of homework which made me extremely happy.  When the bell rang, we all picked up our schools and ran to the buses.  Another exciting day in British School!  I hope tomorrow will be another fun day for all of us.

October 8th

Today was a thrill!

We started off the day with literacy, we had to choose something interesting to write about for a magazine article, we got into groups and we started off using everyone’s ideas to build up some good ones together. In my group, I had Tawan, Matthew, Blake, and myself. Matthew and I thought of one amazing idea! We thought that we could write an article about Korea getting reunified. We had to write out a basic plan and we had so many idea’s it finished at snack time.

At snack as I always do I played soccer and we had some pretty tight attempts! When the bell rang we went back for snack. I sat next to Matthew and we thought about some idea’s for our project. After snack it was French and I think I had missed a lot when I went to Australia because I had a whole pile of work! When French finished it was lunch.

At lunch play we AGAIN played soccer, the match was a lot tighter because both teams  had a lot more people. After lunch we had ICT and we had to do a comprehension/reading test that had 86 sentences! I figured most of them out but at the end it was really hard! Last lesson of the day was RE (religious education) and we learn’t that the Hindu people believe in reincarnation. They respect a plant like a tree and there was a big cycle!

At the end of the day we were all worn out and ready to depart school, well not for me, I had swimming lessons!

October 9th

Today was a really fun day!

This morning, we went straight up to our classroom because we were going to have our temperatures checked there. Next we had to listen what we were told to do, which was quite easy.

After that we first did some math tests, which was quite easy to whiz through because, basically it was all the stuff we did during the past few weeks. Afterwards Mr.Corben announced the top ten ice-cream champions on the recent homework we did on the computer, which was such a fun homework, and right after that, Mr.Corben also announced who brought their parent teacher conference forms. Then as soon as I knew it, it was break time, so we all went outside.

The Afternoon

This afternoon was SUPER!

It started off with the most interesting DT challenge in the history of 5C 09 – 10 making a cup of tea and writing instructions on how to do it! The instructions had to be colourful and well designed, when it was your turn to make your tea you had to put the hot water in the teacup and follow the steps correctly (some people got mixed up who I can relate to!) Later on in the afternoon was assembly!

Assembly was quite interesting and a great job done by 2C! It was about how people learnt to share in (Happy hat land”) there was this one silver hat that they all wanted and they would in they end share it. A little after the excellent performance the house captains read out the house points (I am one but it was not my turn to read them out.) Unfortunately the Yonsei Tiger’s were in third! After that we went to get our bags.

And after a short! Week we were all worn out and ready for an awesome 2 days off!
