Caroline and Amelie

Page history last edited by Mr Corben 14 years, 8 months ago

1st day

First we found where our bag pegs are. Next we picked where we wanted to sit (I was next to Amelie.) Then we learnt everybody's name and how old they are which took forever. We did a uniform check and shoe check afterwards.

Mr. Corben told the new children their house teams and other things. There are only 3 people in our class that are Bukhansan Eagles and the other teams have at least 5 people. This year there are less girls than boys in our class . There are 4 new boys but only one new girl in our class, and we like them.

Then we found out who we would actually sit next to for the first ten days (two weeks) of school. After that we had our snack and everybody went outside to play, or went to the library

We also had our first whole school assembly in Robb Hall.A few teachers performed a very funny play in which they used the second meaning of some words e.g. "the night fell" was when a person holding the sign with the word 'night' on it fell on the ground.he first kids were leaving at the end of the week, so they got teddy bears as a farewell present.

 2nd day

Today we had such a fun day. We followed our time table (sort of) but some of our lessons were a bit jumbled up. We went to the library for the first time and borrowed books. Being in year 5 means that we can borrow 5 books at a time. Later we had our first spelling test to check what level we are at. Today we also got our first homework. One of them is on the computer. Mr.Corben is amazingly organised! He always has a pen with him so that he can write whenever he needs to.

We also got lots of new books in class today and we were shown how to do our homework.

3rd day

First thing today we had was Korean. This year the non-Korean speakers have Ms.Son. We learnt how to greet each other and to say how old we are.

Then we had library. If you forget your library bag you get a note in your diary saying that you need to bring one! We also had music with Dr.Knight today. We talked about major and minor notes.

4th day

First we did maths with our textbooks, then we played a game. Bora rolled two nines with a special dice  which was amazing, but everyone let him down because we were screaming, so we lost. Wow,two nines!!!!

Then we went to art and we learnt about Kate Malone. During art class we had our fire drill. Then we had lunch and it was good, we had pasta.

Later on we had social studies with Ms.Scott. She read us a cool story, played a game and we made a title page, and it's already the end of the week.
